So yesterday I am driving down Eastman Road and to what to my wandering eyes did appear… nope not reindeer.. but another man on a segway (ya know.. one of those stand up thingy mabob’s I was blogging about the other day).. this time flying down the sidewalk. Now the question becomes.. is it the same man burning up the roads.. or have we a Segway explosion in Kingsport? If it is the same man, I am glad he has figured out the sidewalks are safer than the 4 lane. I have gone my whole life without seeing one and now all the sudden 2 in one week! It makes me kinda want one.. or a least a ride! Next time I see that lil guy I am stopping to ask for a scoot around the block…if he refuses I could probably just push him over.. it looks like he could topple at any moment anyway… I mean a scoot is the least he can do for following me…right!
Monday night Ray and Tim were in D.C. shooting the Miss Dickenson County Fair pageants. Tim captured the cutest of all cuties…Ray’s little cousin Raina, who in my opinion, hands down, should have won the Tiny Miss DC title. I mean come on judges “ARE YOU BLIND… SHE’S ADORABLE!” but I’m not prejudice or anything! Look out when I have youngin’s of my own.. she isn’t even mine and I am already acting like this.. haha.. hope I don’t ever have boys that play baseball!

Thanks to all of you for calling or commenting about Sebastian. You all are so sweet. I can’t tell you how many of you have said “you should have called me.. I would have went with you or came over so you wouldn’t have to be alone” It means a lot to know you care. I am also lucky to have my kind husband. Shell pulled him away in the middle of the pageant to take a call from a sobbing wife (he didn’t know we were even at the vet). He got home about 1 a.m. and even though he was worn out he trudged up the hill and we buried Sebastian in a spot beside of Spike’s. We didn’t get to sleep until around 2:30 or so. Geez what a long day! Anyway, my point is I am very blessed to have such loving, thoughtful and wonderful friends and family. I love you guys.
I took Smo and Phe Phe to the vet this afternoon to have a 2nd round of shots. And yes we had our normal puking, peeing, pooping, bodily secretions, good time of a ride courtesy of the smoster! I will spare you the details here. Anyway, we won’t be able to test them for Feline Leukemia until November and having been exposed to two seperate cats having the disease I am very concerned. So please keep your fingers crossed that both of them will test negative like they did last time.
In brighter news, Nay and I ran 5 miles tonight on the treadmill. Little tip.. it is MUCH easier to run inside especially since it is so hot out there you can barely breathe. Why we have ran in this heat for the past 4 days is beyond me. I was wishing yesterday for another monsoon to cool us off! Tonight we wised up and headed for the comfort of the treadmill and AC! Stay cool and drink plenty of fluids kids.. I am worried about ya’ll dehydrating in this heat wave.

I hope all goes well in September on those tests. I will be praying for them. Now I thought towns with car jacking was a problem, but know scooter jacking is a more serious crime to be dealt with :). Just make sure to jack the wheels up when you get it and put some mud tires on that thing. If you get that scooter thingy maybe you wouldnt have to do all that running!
